Last week Temple’s Career Center hosted a Dress for Success Fashion Show. All the clothes were donated by Macy’s and my fraternity was fortunate enough to get involved as one of the co-sponsors. This fashion show was a great oppertunity for students to learn how to dress professionally on a student budget. In addition to student models employers were present at the event offering advice and tips on how to dress for that next job interview. This is just one great example of how resourceful Temple’s Career Center is here on campus. Besides ¬†hosting events like this the Career Center critiques resumes, holds mock interviews, and helps students find internships and jobs. The best part about the Career Center is the age old saying, “Once an Owl…Alway an Owl.” Basically what this means is even after you graduate from Temple you can always come back and utilitze this great on campus resource. Check out my story below!

A good first impression starts might include a firm handshake and eye contact. But as I found out a lasting impressions starts with how you dress.
